I guess it would be possible to arrange a motorised cover for the dome. I did think of it at one stage but decided it wasn't worth it. I'll see how it goes and if I find the dome is affected by next summer I'll look at a cover.

Yes, turned out to be the easiest solution overall. See this thread for the latest info. You need a decent Peltier TEC not a cheap Chinese clone.

It has changed somewhat since then but yes the cooling is working fine.

I think this may be the final model of the wind instruments. Mainly printed in white PLA except for the mast and vane which are aluminium and the nosepiece/counterweight which will be turned in brass. Oh and several nuts and bolts.
