Knight of Clear Skies
Here's an image of the Pleiades I took earlier this year with my 200mm Takumar lens:I've picked up an arc of extended reflection nebulosity to the left with some brown dust to the right. Looking at it I'm wondering quite how far the cluster extends. It's about an hour of 2 minute subs at f5.6. A front aperture mask might be good for this target as some of the structure in the nebulosity is being hidden by the diffraction pattern.Any thoughts on the processing would be welcome.Edit:- Sorry, wrong forum. Could a mod move it to the Deep Sky Imaging section please?
