Pier Mount Adaptor for HEQ5 pro

Hello,

Please can someone tell me if the altair astro pier adaptor will fit the HEQ5 "pro" .... the HEQ5 is listed, so I am sure it does, but wanted to check. The link below is the thing I am refereeing to.

It says it fits the EQ5 and HEQ5 then it will fit yours.

The HEQ5 and HEQ5 pro are identical at the tripod mounting point.

Yes I use it with my 'pro'. It's a very tasty bit of kit but it doesn't come with an Az pin which is a bit of an oversight. I had to make my own.

Thanks for the replies .... just out of interest what did you use to make the Az pin .... a presume it just a metric bolt ?

Yes it is metric. I can't recall the gauge and I'm away at the moment otherwise I would photo it. I used a waisted bolt and cut it in the shoulder so that I could file nice square edges. Some SW tripods have removable Az pins but mine doesn't, it is just a moulded top.
