Orion StarShoot AutoGuider?

Hi All,

I now have a guide scope and guide scope rings, I am now looking at which autoguider to get around the £200 - £250 mark.  My guide scope is the Celestron 80mm f7.5 (slow I know but it cost me £20), so will the Orion Starshoot AutoGuider work well with this scope?  And if not, is there a better autoguider for this scope within my budget please?

Thanks.

have you already got the orion starshoot camera ?

if not then an older qhy 5 is the same but half the price and are excellent guide cameras.

Can you still get the older qhy 5 new or are they all second hand these days?

i use an SSAG on a 50mm finder and it works as well as mount will let it. the odd thing is that the version of PHD off the orion site shows far more giudestars than the version off the PHD site... go figure
