Second try on M42

Hello!

This is my second try on M42. 

Since my mount doesn't have any fancy stuff (besides a RA motor), and a nasty periodic error, I lose a lot of frames, even with a near perfect polar alignment.

Captured 30 frames of 30 seconds, but only 17 was near good.

So this is the result:

I hope when I get my set up done I can achive this. Just waiting for Xmas so I can get me a canon!

That is very nice; you've captured so much detail in the nebula. Very nice processing too, not to loose the Trapezium stars.

That looks incredible to me considering you only have 8 minutes worth of data. These large aperture reflectors seem to capture so much detail! I have 80mm reflector, sharp but dim because of its size.

Hope I can buy something like an EQ8 in the coming years!
