What could cause this guiding issue?

Just installed PHD2, and it all seemd fine, and graph wasn't too unstable. Did have a few useless frames though.

The comet c2014 e2 was rather high up, but i don't think it was high enough so that my gear slack would be an issue.

Mount was balanced so that motors were pushing slighrly against the weight - still i got a guiding that looks like this over a 1 hour period..

I'm using the QHY5L-IIM, and u did use 2x2 bin option in PHD. Using the finderscope, but i've fastend it extra well with several additional screws, so unless the shole finderscope is moving around in that original bracket, then i can't explain what could possebly move.

I'd expect to see flexing, but a circle in the middle..?! If i didn't know better i'd say the whole system is trolling me... :cussing:

Is it somehow possible, that if i should have chosen to use this guide star, that the light from the comet could have fooled PHD to belive that guide star was moving?

Note i can't remember wich guide star i used, but it is possible i chose this one.

Hehe, yeah, probably a time and space rupture... :rolleyes:

I think i can probably conclude that it was my bad for selecting a guide star in the comets path then, although the comet was barley visible in the guide cam as i used the IR-pass filter - but i guess it was more then visible enough for PHD.

And thanks for the comments on the animation itself. :)
