NGC 896 and Comet C/2014 E2 Jacques

Taken last Wednesday 20th Aug

I've only just got my set up running for long guiding but couldn't resist taking a look at my first up close comet.

Please excuse the blurred comet as I sacrificed stacking for the comet in favour of long exposures ( that's was what I was supposed to be tweaking) so this is 3 pics of 14 min, 19 min and 21 min so 54 min comet movement.

I did try some comet exposures / stacking the next day but I need more practice on blending the star stack and the comet stack. If anyone knows of any good guides for this it would be much appreciated. Thankyou :-)

Looks like an abandoned surf board up there Norrin,  I am really liking these comet pictures, blue against the red, good work.
