How to remove Telrad mount from the tube, help

Hello,

I don't know if it's the right section, sorry if I'm wrong.

I'm selling my dobson sw 10", so I have to remove the mount of the telrad, leaving the tube in the best condition I can xD

How can I do it? Solvent, and which? a little knife?

Ease it of gently any sticky residue is easily removed with WD40.

Do not use solvent as it may attack the paint.

Hair drier method looks a lot better than a hammer for sure.

I've heard that running dental floss between the telescope and base does the primary job and then using a little acetone to rid of the more stubborn bits (nail paint remover stuff). If it gets tricky perhaps use a hair dryer to soften up the goo and then gently apply the acetone.

Yes. Get some car number plate adhesive strips from Halfords and stick on the new scope.
