Both these taken with the SW 180 Mak-Cass PRO at f/15. SPC900 taking 900 of 1800 frames. Processed in Avistack and cropped etc in PS CS5.

Lovely results, cassini nice and defined and is that a hint of the storm I can make out in the upper centre?

Pretty good. Can you lift the f ratio to 25? (or more) and double the number of frames? If you could I think you could improve even more.

Yes - but not with the seeing that night!! (I have a couple of avi's at f/30 but they are not worth processing - they are TERRIBLE!)

nice pics,i have tried upping the power using the same set up myself.i have found it impossible to focus correctly using a barlow though.

are you using a diagonal? this would increase the magnification a bit wouldn't it?

i have started to use one this week but have not processed the images yet

I can focus Ok - its just that with Saturn so low at the moment and the atmosphere so "yuk" its simply isn't worth chasing with a barlow.

Shame. It's tough for you guys up North this apparition. Your images show a fair amount of detail so hopefully you get lucky with the seeing.

If you do thenI urge you to try a few more frames. 6min @ 10fps seems to be a popular capture.
