Some recent Saturns

Saturn has been a nightmare for me this year. Not high enough and generally rubbish seeing conditions.

Here are a couple of recent efforts which are my best, best being a relative term in this instance.

Mostly done with 4 x Imagemate and various webcams fitted with an IR filter.

Great attempt Geoff can see cassini clearly in the first image , what scope was you using ?

The scope was a 10 inch F4.8 Orion Optics Eutopa Newtonian so I should have done better than I did.

I think most are finding it hard in the uk Geoff, saturns brightness this year at the quite low elevation, is not holding up very well under most uk skys. whats needed is a big well collimated scope good seeing, and a super camera. with out all those, its going to be a struggle, im not exactly rubbish at imaging, and im struggling too. last night was terrible. ive had a few days. were im just binning them all. webcams will be hard, as high frame rates are needed too.
