M44 - Tick off List

Real pleased with tonight's viewing, I can now tick M44 off my Bin's list. To be honest though it was cold out there, especially as I hadn't changed from the shorts and t-shirt that I was in all day!! Didn't last long...

M44 is a wonderful sight in Bins - I got back form work latel ast night and was too knackered to go out. Forecast fro tonight is partly cloudy so I may get some viewing in. Fingers crossed.

Just had a look for M44 after reading you had found it and I found it with a pair of 10x60 then went to the 15x80 the Moon helped and of course help from Stelarium

Hi Doug,

I went back out tonight to take another look / confirm the sighting but too much high cloud blocked it all! Had a decent look at the Moon though...there's always something to see!

Hi Dave I have been very lucky tonight very clear , makes achange ,when I'm clouded out you are clear, Last night I see the ISS cross West to East at about 04.20

to night I missed it , if you look www.isstracker.com you can track it too

M44 is best in bins, no doubt. I have had a look at it with my C8, but it fills the entire (1.38 deg) FOV, which is not nearly as nice as the framing you get in bins.
