Need help processing(if it is possible)

Hi, I went out last night with my 130M and SPC900NC to image Saturn and it worked. I took around a 2 minute AVI (1400 frames) however i didn't trake very well and so Saturn goes across the screen. I don't know if this is OK and if someone could tell me what to do. Thanks

P.S: I couldn't download the AVI because it is around 700MB.

It should be fine, most image processing software has a "Track object" option you can select.

Give it a go!

I had that very problem, Saturn Drift when I imaged Saturn the other night. The stacking was able to deal with it, and align the frames... You should be fine.

Load it into Registax, that will cope with it well. If you get stuck with the processes in Registax which are not immediately obvious, give us a shout.

Thanks for helping me I am stuck though. First I loaded Registax 6 then clicked select and picked my AVI. What do i do now?

Hi

If you don't want to play around with the settings, just leave all the defaults.

Once you've selected the avi file and said ok, pick some alignment points on the planet, just left click and little red zeros appear.

Click align, wait to finish, click limit.

You'll notice as you go through that a green line appears under each button you need to click.

So just continue through.

Click Stack, and when it's finished you'll be on the wavelet page.

This is where I can't help too much, you just need to play around with the settings (there's lots of them ! )

Somone may jump in with the best way to use them.

I normally click RGB align over on the right hand menu and click estimate.

Then just move sliders around or play with brightness etc.

It really is abit of trial and error.

There are some youtube videos on this, so check those out as well

Thanks for the help everyone however it just doesn't seem to work It is probably me not doing something right I also followed what to do and that didn't come out very well and so I will probably just leave it for now. Thanks anyway
