From Mid May to Mid July, I view the planets, moon and look at some colourful double stars. Not to mention try to split some of the real tight one's. All of these objects are easily visible during the light summer bnights however Deep sky is put to bed for a couple months ;-)

There's also the sun. Make a proper white light filter with some baader film and you're away. It might also be good to have a project or two going eg drawing the moon through the month to see the different phases. Tracking sunspots across the face of the sun.
