Kaptain Klevtsov
Basically an EQ1 bolted to the dovetail rail. This allows the guide 'scope to be aimed accurately at a bright star. Wobbles like a jelly though and has issues with differential flexure. I did manage to get the guiding thing to work using this though.I'm sure that this will be upgraded to something more conventional when I can get around to making something.Captain Chaos

GordonCopestake
Thats a great idea! You might get more stability by putting a second dovetail rail across your newt tube rings and then bolting the EQ1 to that instead.

Makes the whole thing balanced as this thing is off centre - doesn't help the balance.I could also do with some knobs on the EQ1 as turning the shaft bits is awkward.Captain Chaos
