NGC 5907 in Draco

Managed to capture this on Sunday night.The lovely edge on Galaxy NGC 5907 in Draco.

Celestron 80ED.

Lumin=15mins.

R/G/B=15mins.

Processed in AIP and Photoshop.

An excellent edge-on galaxy.

Nice image of a very interesting galaxy. Might just have a crack at this later.

It is surrounded by 2 very faint rings....I don't know if they'd be possible to image from the UK, but you might be able to get them Olly.

They were only discovered recently IIRC, and I don't think I've ever seen an amateur image of them.

Thanks for the kind remarks eveyone.I,m sure Olly and a few others could really do it justice.

Sometimes i think the overhead constellations are a little neglected,but there are many gems to be found there.
