went to royal observatory and maritime museum yesterday with the letchworth and district astronomy society,what a great day out.camera obscura was brill,as were some of the older scopes.the 28 inch refractor built in 1893 is the largest in britain and the 7th largest in the world, and its in perfect working order.all this and its totaly free,

its still in regular use, by whom and when i dont now but i would like the chance to see through it :) I didn't take any piccies cause i forgot me camera :x like i did me password for this forum,had to get another (must be getting old)
