First view of M42

Hi everyone

Got my first ever view of M42 about an hour ago using 12mm

Was an amazing sight have been trying to see this for a long time but something has always happened that has stopped me seeing it

But not tonight I'm well chuffed

Hi Jake,

have you got any smaller EPs than the 12mm? To get the best from M42 you really need a 32mm of similar, it is such a big object.

Not at the moment I havent selling some bits on here to fund a new ep

The nagler has good fov which I think helps and it gives me x41 in my scope

At the mo I'm using a skywatcher skyhawk 4.5" which I know is only small

Looking to upgrade to a skywatcher 200pds in the next few weeks

When you get your 200mm scope you will still have M57 to come. One of my all time favourites.
