What is the slot on the CG-4, CG-5 mount for?

On the Omni CG-4, CG-5 and some other mount heads there is a slotted hole opposite the clamp screws of the mounting platform.

What's that for? Have not seen it mention in the manuals or on-line (so far).

I'd guess it's for something like adding an new mount clamp or similar or am I way off?

The hole and bracket on the side are for attaching the DEC axis motor.

Makes sense now. Just seemed odd to have an empty slot with no explanation.
