PeterW
If you have owned a PST for a while it may be wise to check the coating on the front lens. In some of them the coating has degraded and this affects the image quality, though supposedly not the safety of usage.I found out about this issue on the cloudynights forum (solar observing section) and have just had mine repaired under warranty though Telesceope House.CheersPEterW
centroid
Hi PeterYour's is the second one I've heard of in the past few months.I bought mine last year, and up to now it's still ok, but I'll be keeping a check on it while it's still under warrantee.Dave
FLO
Worth noting that this issue only applies to the original PST, the one being sold today has different coatings.
