Has anyone got a decent download site for the above pls?

Also...how do you use it???

I apparently downloaded it today but all I could do was upload a file and nothing else!

When I searched the tutorial online it looked like a completely different program to the one I had.

Any help would be greatfully received.

Does this programme convert .avi to .jpg?

The final output from Avistack can be saved as fits, tiff, png or jpeg. The jpeg file is 8 bit only.

I can't seem to get it to work? (this seems to be a common start to most of my threads!). Can someone show me a screenshot of what the main page of avistack should look like please?

All I can do is upload the image or video...I have no idea what to do after that or even how to do it???

Which version of Avistack are you using? If you have Avistack2 once you have loaded a movie press the Process File button. From there accept the default settings at each stage of the stacking and Avistack will continue to the end.

I have avistack 2 but I just can't load anything up!

The exact version is - AviStack2_Win32.zip - WinRAR(evaluation copy)

Are you using a different computer to process the AVI ? If you are, install the capture software on it. Avistack / Registax require the codecs used when capturing the AVI to be able to read the file.

I'm using the same computer. Does it look like I'm using the correct version of Avistack?

If your computer is running Windows 32 bit then this is the latest version.

I'm running 32 bit. Can you load up some screen shots of what I should be seeing?

This is the screen when you open Avistack2. The window at the top left has the menus for loading movies / images.

Select the AVI file for processing and then press the Process file button. Until you learn a little more about Avistack accept the default values at each stage. At the end of the processing you can save the image for further wavelet tweaking.

Right, that's the screen I'm getting but I can't find any files to upload now?!

Do I need to save them as a particular type or does it just accept AVI's?
