Processing modded DSLR pics

Recommended Posts

I am hoping to have a play with my newly acquired modded 1000D soon. Before I've got it up and running, just a couple of questions really about the processing.

1) DSS has a setting for a modded DSLR in the registration menu - I presume I have that set, but apart from that, everything else remains the same?

2) When it comes to processing with PI, it will not alter the colour massively and get rid of the redness during colour calibration will it?

3) Anything else I need to know that may be different on the processing side?

In PI, there's really nothing 'extra' I do to my modded 1000D images - just run through the usual procedures, DBE, histogram, masked saturation and maybe a tweak on the individual colour curves.

If you use your CLS filter you'll find the colour cast introduced by that more difficult to deal with.
