What's The Problem Here?

Hi all

The sky was clear, the moon was out so I decided to try out my Philips webcam and sharpcap capture software. I got the image on the computer, pressed the capture image on the program and an error message popped up with a large number attached. A second and third attempt also failed.

Can anyone tell me what the trouble is? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Usually the number after an error is the error code. If you look up that error code you'll be able to work out yourself what went wrong most of the the time. Failing that you'll find that people will be able to help you quicker if they are armed with that code.

The error message reads: Error 80070005: Cannot start graph

Have you designated the folder to send your captures to?

first thing i would try is updating the device driver from device manager. if thats fails re-install cam, if that still does not work then re-install the s/w

I've just come across a thread in the forum that deals with the exact same trouble, so I will follow the advice given there and see how that pans out.
