Well the sky was clear not a cloud, so I put my scope out about an hour ago to cool down. Looking forward to a few hours of viewing tonight. I then retreat back to house to have a look at Stellarium to plan my evenings viewing when I hear the rain hammering on the flat roof. Dashed outside to find my scope had turned into a bucket.

All turned out ok in the end.

Managed to get all the water out and dry it out. Even got to get out and see some sky. and well worth the effort as I had two shooting stars go through my view as I was looking at Orions Nebula.

Similar here. Get outside, clear skies. Align the scope and just as I'm laying in a second calibration star the cloud rolls in and now it's pea soup!

I never noticed how quickly the sky can fog up!
