I've been to Lindos a few times (long time ago) in fact it was there I noticed Pleiades for the first time as the skies were so clear!

About 10 years ago I visited Skopelos. Whilst I was there there was a power cut across the whole island. The skies that were revealed were unbelievable.

It was difficult to identify any of the main constellations because of the amount of stars that were visible. The Milky Way around Sagittarius was congested with clusters and nebulae and I'm sure I could make out some colour around M20. Ok. Maybe that bit was the beer goggle optics!
