For an easy-to-make parallelogram, see here (now onlty available on the Wayback Machine, as Graham -- the author -- passed away a couple of years back). I tried this mount out just after he made it, and it works as advertised.

This one, also now only available from the Wayback Machine, is Scott Wilson's. Superb construction, a real artisan piece of kit.
