Hi, i have just downloaded Stellarium on my mac, as i have seen quite alot of people recommend it.

Is it just a case of typing in your post code or do you have to enter your town?

Im not very good at these sort of things so any advice would be great.

Running Stellarium on a mac too. In the location window there is a huge alphabetical list of towns and cities, you may find yours or one nearby.

google your gps coordinates and enter that, I think they are on google maps somewhere:earth:

yes as i rember i did enter the city ie calgary

as good as stellarium is try stary night pro version 6

it is probly the best one

Probably is the best one as you say. Stellarium and Cartes du Ciel are probably the best "free" ones out there though
