When doing a geophysical survey of a turf maze in Wales, all the cows in the field insisted on joining us until we took the last reading when they wandered away! I have also had sheep chew through the cable going to the earth pegs!

At night I have bats regularly flying above my head.

Our cat goes mad when I go in and out setting up the gear. She darts around at 200 m.p.h. between your legs almost tripping you up! Just what you want when you are carrying your telescope out!

I was sitting on my bench at the bottom of the garden the last clear night we had when a fox jumped down from the fence behind me and landed near on top of me. Not sure who was more scared,me or him,lol. It certainly made me jump.

Hi All

I was at the telescope one night when I heard a noise getting closer to where I was standing. Spooked I abandon any thoughts of red light and went direct to white and illuminated a large brown rat the size of a cat (Well Kitten but still a monster in the dark) less than 2 feet from me. Not sure who moved the quickest.
