sw 127 Mak - SPC900 or DSLR

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I have an SW 127 Mak Goto and bought a SPC900, all of which I am stil trying to get use to.

Apart from a few small mods to the mount and focuser, the kit is awesome, but like everything in life you always look to get a better view or better image.

I have a Nikon D40x (CCD, not CMOS & 10 Meg pixels) and was wondering if this would be any good on the 127 mak? Would it be better for say planets or DSO than the webcam and if so what is the best way to attach it as I have seen adapters that screw directly in to the back or go from 1.25" mount.

Finally is there an easy way of changing the magnification of the webcam or DSLR apart from a 2x barlow or focal reducer?
