Stellarium software improvement?

Hi all

While I (like many) have Stellarium installed on my laptop, wouldn't it be great if you could add some "real time" data ?

I don't know if there is alternative software that can do that ?

I'm thinking along the lines of a weather feed ?

But I guess if it does exist it costs quite a bit ?

I personally think it would be really handy to check the nights viewing.

Or even have a bit of code written that just displays a grey screen with the words " NOPE ! not tonight"

Just a thought.

They could add a feature that asks you if you have bought any new equipment recently and it's value - from that they should be able to calculate the Consequential Cloud Quotient (CCQ) and apply it to the views displayed :)

Or even an option where you can enter the dates of all significant family birthdays, anniversaries, not-allowed-to-miss functions etc. those nights are guaranteed to be clear, all the others will be clouded over

One thing I would like would be the ability to model light pollution more realistically. So you could define l/p sources, intensity etc. That would make it much easier to illustrate to people just why it was so important.
