First light with my newly acquired SW Mak 102

Just been out during a break in the weather with my Mak 102 (just bought from Alowen) for the first time. Superb view of Jupiter and the four main moons. I could even make out the banding with this little scope, what a surprise. This was bought as a grab and go second scope and I am absolutely delighted.

Glad you like it. I love mine, great little scope. The image clarity on these is breath taking. I'm desperate to get it on Saturn but the weather has defeated me so far.

Always nice to have Jupiter around for first light. Given that I have seen banding with a 70mm achromat, I am not surprised you can get that detail with your Mak. With patience, and a bit of luck, you should be able to get the GRS as well.
