For afocal these shots are amazing. Have you tried taking a number of the same shot and stacking them to give even sharper images?

hi dave and thankyou for your comments, my pics compared to yours are just amaturish, as yet i dont know how to stack pics, or what programme to down load. i would love to present pictures like yours, but as said i lack the know how. any pointers would be of great help.

To get the best images of the Moon or planets you use a webcam with no eyepiece. The resulting avi file is then imported into Registax or Avistack (both free). I think both programs can stack just a few individual images from any camera i.e. it doesn't have to be a movie file.

thanks dave, i have an electonic eyepiece that will fit into my lap top. so my next question is which programme is best for stacking?
