Any ideas what this streak is?

I'm curious what this streak is that the arrow is pointing at. Any ideas?

At first I thought it was a hair on a lens or something, but it is steadily moving through the subs at the same rate, with the same length tail it seems. This is one of the subs, a 60 second exposure.

Hope it's not something daft like my torch!!!

I was thinking it couldn't be a geostationary satellite because it was "moving" in the image, while forgetting that the mount is rotating!!

I guess I have a measure then of the dimensions of M42? I think it works out that the length of the line is 0.25 degrees given that it's a 60 second exposure?
