I feel a bit silly asking, but would someone please explain to me how to take the lense off my spc900 webcam so i can put my adapter in.

Actually, if all you want to do is remove the lens, you just

pop off the silver rim and unscrew the lens

take your time getting the focus ring of, i broke a leg of the ring on mine doing it, but hey, its never going back on again lol, when you prise the ring up it has 3 legs with a hook on each, once of the lens unscrews and adaptor screws in place
