Here is a drawing of Uranus from 2 days ago.

I have been getting up early all through Christmas to view Saturn, but only seeing clouds!

So when the sky cleared on Monday night I decided to have a look at Jupiter and Uranus instead.

0°C, still, clear, Seeing Ant II.

The best view of Uranus I have ever had, clearly defined disc with pronounced limb darkening and a distinctly spherical appearance.

The shading over the disc was subtly non-uniform as shown in the drawing.

Great sketch. It's not often people sketch Uranus with detail, I only ever manage to do a quick plot of it's position.
