Image stabilised bins - definitely on my wish list. The other thing I thought about was a spotter scope like the ones birdwatchers use. It would certainly be portable enough, have a decent diameter and more magnification than my trusty old 8x42's (which everybody else on the bridge always nicks when I'm not there so they can't really be that bad in the first place)
