I have heard this mentioned as well, something to do with the shape space-time that it either flat or slightly curved. I have no idea how it works or what it means, that is for me to learn in uni

I think this has ramifications regarding the final destiny of the universe, and also possibly its beginnings. To do with whether the spacetime is positively or negatively curved?
