Filters

Hi,

I have plossi eye pieces (which screw apart) & was wondering if all filters fit them. I'm looking at a set of four antares filters and just wanted advice.

The Plossi eye pieces i have have a thread in them to screw filters into, no need to take apart, unless they do different types of course

Dave is quite right, assuming you are looking at 1.25" filters and using 1.25" plossls then the filter screws into the silver nosepiece end of the EP.

you can also screw them into the diagonal (assuming it's 1.25" - if not then get 2" filters) as this saves changing the filter over each time you change an EP. don't forget it's on though - can get confusing!

Thanks for the info guys. I've checked and can't see that either my ep's or prism have usable threads.

Take another look, i had to look twice, look at the end that goes into the focuser it might have small threads in there

Hi' with my plossl EPS' 1.25 i can fit colour' neb' and Light Poll filters which can be screwed on the EP.
