A quick Horsehead

Similar to my earlier post a quick m42, I went for the Horsehead Nebula after meridian flip using my Modded and unfiltered Canon 1000D at ISO800 on a SW 190 Mak Newt, guided with PHD - QHY5v/ finderguider.

As the the Moon was well gone I went for 2 min subs X 50, flats, darks and bias frames applied .

Stacked in DSS and a few tweaks in PS. Full frame image.

Thanks for looking

Cheers evryone for the comments.

Don, - I didn't use any filters whatsoever (forgot), normally I have used a LP clip filter with IR/UV block or just a plain 2" IR/UV block but it seems I can do alright without.

If there is a colour caste I use separate RGB level black point tweaks to compensate.

Darkly, I didn't know the NGC number so thanks for that, I just call it the flame nebula.
