thommo10
Hi All Does anybody know where I can get motors for my Super poloris mount, ye I know its quite old and Its made by vixen. but they are really expensive for the controllers and clutches. I noticed the EQ5-6 mount is very similar and was wondering if they would fit as they are a lot cheaper.
E621Keith
I have seen people retrofitting a Skywatcher Skyscan to their Great polaris and it seems to work. EQ5 and CG5 were clones of the GP or GPDX (not sure which one), so I don't know if the previous generation super ploaris is mechanically compatitable. thommo10
I have been in contact with Richard at Astronomica and he assures me the DK-3 duel axis drive will fit my SP mount. so I think I will take the chance and order when funds allow probably a couple of months when I have got my Observatory done.
