First Moon Pic

My first moon pic taken through my standard 25mm EP which came with the scope and a Sony Cybershot DSC-W130 compact.

Done some processing in PS to darken, contrast and remove strange glow round edge of the moon.

Nice shot Geno its great fun taking pictures of the moon isnt it.

I use my mobile phone camera and find it takes better shots then my little digital camera. Because it sits flat up against the eye piece I dont get a horrible white glare as I do when I try to use my kodak digital camera. If you have a mobile phone with a reasonable camera give it a try. Happy moon shooting:)

I have an HTC Desire which I think is 5MP so I might give that a go. My wife was so impressed with the picture that I got the go ahead, when funds allow, to get the EOS 500D

Sometimes the moon from afar is even more impressive to look at than a close-up shot. Great pic.
