Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head

Hi All

Anyone used the Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head for small scopes?

Looking to put a different head on my BB Report tripod for my FS-60c.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience with it.

Yes, had one briefly. Worked brilliantly with a William Optics SD66. One of those items that i shouldn't have sold but was worth too much and too easy to sell.

Thanks. I have since found a video on Youtube (in Danish) but the guy didn't make much of the gearing - just showed how the main axes worked.

It's always good to hear peoples real thoughts on a piece of kit.

I still have one, its great for small portable setups. I've used an f7 66 and an f5.6 80mm. On a decent tripod it is a good choice.

I use one with my 66ED scope. It's the perfect mount for this scope.

I use on but am only using wide angle lenses, it will cope with a small refractor but the Astrotrac wedge is definitely worth considering.

I've used it with a WO Megrez 72. It's a little on the wobbly side, so I would stay under that weight (4.8 lbs./2.2 kg)
