after hours of stress i finally got my first webcam image of jupiter, nice of the red spot to put in an appearance for me:)

cheers guys, i used a spc900/880 (ebay cam everyones plugging) on a s/w 300 newt. had a load of trouble trying to use registax, turns out it don't like big files so i think it was 2 minutes at 60fps ended up stacking about 1700 frames i think, just played with the sliders in wavelets( not a clue what they do, it just made the image clearer). only wish i had stayed out an extra hour, could have caught the transit like everyone else

If you're using Reg V5 you have the two option boxes :-

"Extended Mode" and "Use Extended Mode" next to it. I use XP Pro so my settings are "Default" and "Avi >2Gb"

This should sort out any difficulties you may with larger files.

Did you use a barlow or was this image cropped ?

Nice image. Did you drop the quality/resolution on the webcam to get 60fps?
