dew heater for a newt

Recommended Posts

Are you sure that you need one... assuming that it's a closed tube design I've only ever seen them go once... that was at Kelling last year and it was a similar experience to swimming!

The secondary mirror is much more likely to go than the primary.

I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to your question :D

It's a 200mm f4.5 newt, i was out on Sat night; really very clear in Abersoch, i looked at the primary and it was soaked, droplets visible on the mirror.

i had a 150mm heater strip available but i coud'nt stretch it around the tube and mirror cell, hence the question as to whether it might fit around the mirror itself!!! if thats wise?

i guess that the secondary does suffer more or less the same problem, but i coud'nt see it at the time.
