Heart and Soul from Kelling

Another image from the Kelling star party. Due to the massive field of view on this, PoleAlignMax bombs out with some error message, and Pinpoint gets a bit upset too. As such, I wasnt able to use CCD Commander to plate solve and recenter at the correct co-ords… so the image is not quite where I`d like it to be, but it will do.

Mount: EQ6 via EQMOD

OTA: Borg 60 @ f/3.8

Guiding: SW ED80 + SX Lodestar + Maxim

Imaging: Starlight Xpress M25C + MaximDL, 7 x 900s, Baader 7nm Ha (51 bias, 51 flats)

Orchestrated: CDD Commander

Stacked: DeepSkyStacker

Post Process: PSCS2 + PixInsight

Looks good Steve, that is one huge FOV :D

I hope you don't mind me saying but it looks noisy to me. But that aside there's lots of detail in there mate - especially around the "heart".

I can see why your happy with it. Will you continue and add more data from home?

Cheers

Ant

Ah Kelling, of course - that (along with clear sky at w/e) explains the massive influx of images! Fantastic and deep image. Suppose there is a bit of noise at full res, but you've got so much signal I'm sure you can sort that!

Getting into wide field my self and this is a cracking image I want to try myself.

Do you mind me asking, what is the total focal length all combined with the Borg 60.

Reason I ask, is I have just got my WO66 up and running bog standard at 388mm and need a reference pointer other than CCDCalc.

Ta,.
