will my camera work on a scope????

is there any way i can mount and use my camera to my scope skywatcher 127 mak??

As you can't remove the front lens, the only way to take some photos with that camera is by a process called Digiscoping.

You can take pictures of the planets and Moon (and of the sun, providing you have a sunfilter.

Looking at that camera i dont even think it will work with any of the universal digital camera adapters that are used for digi-scoping. The lens looks too large.

For astro imaging...........the ONLY way to go is DSLR. The Canon 1000D is about the cheapest way to go and it gets GREAT results.

I've just ordered a digiscope adaptor for my compact camera. Will post results (clouds permitting) soon.

Normally those adapters adjust to almost every compact camera. But don't expect miracles; it'll only work with bright objects such as planets, moon, sun (properly filtered) and, of course, wildlife.

This camera will do exposures up to 8sec, so you should be able to do quite a few DSOs, providing you are prepared to take lots of shots and stack them.
