Jupiter and Io just...

For the past year I've been using a Meade 3x telenegative and have been frustrated at not being able to resolve any detail in planetary images. I recently decided to use a 2x no-name barlow I have and as you can see with the above image there is a fair bit of detail showing. This brings me to wonder whether my OTA just can't resolve detail with a 3x barlow.

You can see my best effort with a 3x here

How long are your avis? That thread on your link says 2000 frames. Over 90 secs and rotational blur takes affect. Unless you are using a fast frame rate....I've been told 15fps and over with an SPC900NC produces compressed avis lowering quality. What video capture software are you using?
