will i be able to see the red spot with my 200p?

I agree with the above. You'll need good collimation and holding a moon in transit across the disc is difficult unless it is against a dark belt. It is easy around the limb.

But I caught a shadow transit from right under a street light in a 4 inch apo some years ago so those are dead easy.

Is the GRS there?

Thought it had "disappeared" ;):eek:

One ofthe equitorial belt/bands faded away.

The "loss" of the SEB actually makes the GRS more obvious.

You should be able to see the GRS quite easily with as little as 3" of aperture, when it's close to the meridian and the planet is reasonably high in the sky. A "minus red" (cyan, or blue) filter increases the contrast of this object.
