M31 - yawn

I'm blumming determined to get a hlaf decent image of M31. Still got a way to go yet me thinks, but I'm getting there.

This image taken Saturday night 40 x 30 seconds and 12 x 60 seconds - taken with the 300D at prime focus with the Baadar Sky glow filter (cheers Russ).

Very Nice Ant there's plenty of detail there esp in those Dust lanes and it's well framed in the FOV. Did the Skyglow filter help at all and what scope was used matey?

The filter was great James, helped no end. A dust lane was visible on the 60 second sub! with no light polution visible at all.

I was thinking you had a Small refractor for some reason?..Anyway it's a cool image and gives me hope when i try for it when i get a 300D(come on santa).

Glad the Skyglow helped sounds a Top filter and much needed one for us light bulb dwellers...

If I had the money rog I would. I've seen your images and the images thats Russ is getting out of his C8.

This could be the next move for me! Especially if I could get a fast star!
