Lucky wakeup call!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share this with you all. I was awoken by two fighting cats outside my house this morning at 3:30. Much to my delight they didnt stick around long but as I was looking out the window I noticed Jupiter sitting nice and bright to the east and cutting across it was a bright satellite which heavens above says was the ISS. I really wish I got a picture because this was my first time seeing a satellite. Anyway I just thought you might appreciate my good luck!

I went to a pub quiz last night and as we were all talking outside I was looking up to the sky and saw a few moving 'stars'. Saw two.

Would be nice to know what they were but I'll never know!

worked nights last night but had some lovely naked eye views of jupiter, my non observing crew mate thought it was just a bright star!

i would love to see the ISS ... i wander if we could see anything of it in a telescope?

Some people have been lucky enough to catch a single frame of the iss. Tracking it through a scope is an almost impossible job at high magnification

I've done that myself just looked out and seen that bright point of light - called up heavens above yup it was the ISS.
