As I have not done much imaging recently I thought I would share some of my previous work.

Here's my DSI attempt at M57, 8" newt. 21 x 21sec exposures, tweaked in Photoshop. Taken from Sevenoaks.

wow just 21 21 second exposures! i guess thats what 8" gives you!

do you think you could pick out as much detail as that with your ED80 and the 1000D? Only curious as im hoping to have a go when then the sky gets darker with my setup(see sig) and im betting my polar alighnment wont be very great to start with as iv never used an EQ mount before, so if i could get detail like that out of 21 second exposures with my ed80 i would be very pleased

I do have a image of this done with my 1000D, but it was not done with the ED80, I will give it a go some time.
